Open North European Fencing Championships

Further to the meeting of the Medical Commission, the Executive Committee has taken the following decisions, and the points 1) and 2) come into force immediately:

1. Anti-doping Controls The number of anti-doping controls which are to be carried out by the organisers of Junior and Senior World Cup competitions, World Championships (all categories) and Zonal Championships has been reduced to 2 (instead of the current 3). The following persons will be tested:

• In individual competitions:
  • the fencer placed first, and
  • one fencer chosen by drawing of lots among the remaining three finalists. The random selection will be performed before the start of the first semi-final.
